🧭 Dashboard Tour — Where Do I Find What?

This tour does not show you how to trade — it just shows you where in the app to find what. If you are new here or switching over from another tool, you will get the overview in a few minutes: the dashboard as your home page, the sidebar as your control center, and the most important work areas.

You do not need to memorize anything. Read through once, click around your own interface in parallel — afterwards you will find your way around without thinking.

After logging in you land on the Dashboard (the 📊 icon at the very top of the sidebar, reachable via the logo or the home page). It is your command center and answers the most important question at a glance: "How is my portfolio doing right now?"

Typical building blocks you will find here:

• Portfolio value & development: current portfolio value (NAV) and how it has changed over time.
• Performance metrics: realized and unrealized profits/losses, often with a period switcher.
• Open positions at a glance: what is currently running, including current valuation.
• Activity & notices: recent trades, upcoming dates and action needed.

The tiles are not an end in themselves — they are springboards. Almost every one takes you straight to the matching detail area with a click (e.g. from the positions tile into the full position list).

On the left you will find the sidebar. It is organized into thematic sections. Use the arrow button (◀) to collapse and expand it, giving you more room for the content.

The two most important sections to start with:

Below that is the community section (🌍 Feed, 💬 Forum, 📺 Live Trades, 🤝 Friends, 📬 Messages) — you will take a look at that once you know the basics.

At the very top right of the header sits your profile menu. That is where things like accounts (broker connections), tags, security and notifications are managed.

The heart of the app is your trades. The 💱 Trades entry in the sidebar opens the trade log — the complete, searchable list of all imported or manually entered transactions.

• Filter & search: by symbol, account, time period, asset class or tag — so you can isolate exactly the trades you are interested in.
• Automatically recognized cycles: individual transactions are bundled into connected trade cycles (e.g. buy → partial sell → close). This is a core strength of the platform — you see the result, not just the raw data.
• Strategy recognition: for options, the system automatically recognizes strategies (spreads, iron condor, wheel …).

In 💼 Portfolio you get the combined view across all accounts and how your capital is allocated. You can reach your open positions — what is currently still running — both from the portfolio and directly from the dashboard.

While the trade log shows individual cases, the statistics & performance analysis section is about the big picture: how well are you actually trading — over time, across accounts, across strategies?

Typical breakdowns that help you here:

• Profit/loss over time: how your realized results have developed.
• Win rate & averages: share of winning trades, average win vs. loss.
• Breakdown by dimension: by symbol, strategy, account or tag — so you can see what is actually working.

For these numbers to be meaningful, it is worth tagging your trades consistently (see profile menu → tags). A tag like "Vola" or a strategy name lets you later analyze exactly how much a specific idea has earned you.

The strategies module lets you bundle trades into named strategies, track their performance separately, and — if you want — share them with the community or take inspiration from other people's strategies.

In the 🛠️ Tools section you will find the platform's tool collection — from the seasonality tab to calculators to specialized analyses. You do not need to understand everything at once; open them as needed.

One area you should get to know early is 🛡️ Trading Rules: self-defined rules that actively flag action needed for you (e.g. "position has reached X% profit"). They turn passive watching into proactive management.

You now know the map. To bring the app to life, here are the sensible next steps:

1. Connect an account: If you have not done so yet — the broker decision and Getting Started guide you through the connection (IBKR, Trade Republic, Binance & more).
2. Import data: Once your account is connected, the dashboard, trades and statistics fill in automatically.
3. Trace your first trade: In the Your First Trade chapter, you go through the entire path from entry to the automatically recognized trade cycle once, start to finish.
